Terms and Conditions
Mobu is a brand of Giya Home (Pty) Ltd, registered in South Africa. These Terms and Conditions govern all transactions with Mobu, whether made through our website, by email, or directly with our team. By placing an order with Mobu, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from placing an order.
Products
Mobu furniture is designed and manufactured with great care, using natural materials such as solid wood and premium fabrics. Each piece is crafted by hand and may display subtle variations in tone, grain, or texture. These natural characteristics are part of the material’s authenticity and should not be considered imperfections.
While we strive to present products as accurately as possible, colours and finishes may vary slightly due to screen settings or lighting conditions. Mobu reserves the right to modify product details, pricing, or availability without prior notice.
Orders
Orders may be placed directly through our website or by contacting our team at sales@mobuafrica.com. To confirm an order, Mobu will issue an invoice outlining product details, pricing, delivery fees, and payment terms. Orders are processed once full payment has been received.
All Mobu items are in stock unless otherwise indicated. Once payment has been confirmed, our team will schedule delivery or shipping in coordination with the client.
Payment
Payment may be made via EFT or any other approved method noted on your invoice. Full payment is required before dispatch or delivery.
All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise specified.
Trade Discount
Mobu offers trade benefits to verified professionals within the design and property sectors. Trade discounts are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may not be used for personal purchases or resale. Misuse of trade privileges may result in immediate termination from the program. For enquiries, please contact cass@giya.africa.
Deliveries
Delivery within Gauteng is charged at R950 per order. Delivery to other South African regions and international destinations is priced on request, based on location, order size, and handling requirements.
Mobu uses trusted logistics partners to ensure safe delivery. Once your order has been scheduled, you will be notified of timing and arrangements. While every effort is made to meet agreed timelines, Mobu cannot be held liable for delays caused by third-party couriers or unforeseen circumstances.
Risk transfers to the client once the item has been collected by the courier or delivered to the specified address.
Storage
Mobu can hold purchased items for up to one month at no additional charge. Extended storage may be arranged on request, subject to availability and applicable fees. After the complimentary period, storage cannot be guaranteed.
Damage and Liability During Delivery
All Mobu pieces are inspected carefully before dispatch. Should your order arrive damaged or incorrect, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery so that we can record the issue. Claims made after this period may not be accepted.
Mobu will review all reported cases individually and may, at its discretion, offer repair, replacement, or other reasonable assistance. We do not accept responsibility for damage occurring after the item has been delivered or collected in good condition.
Returns and Exchanges
Mobu items are sold from current stock. Non-defective items are not eligible for return or exchange.
If you have concerns about your purchase, please contact us to discuss your item. At Mobu’s discretion, if a return or exchange is agreed upon, the item must meet specific conditions, including being unused and in its original state.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch, provided that written notice is received and confirmed by Mobu. If cancellation occurs after payment has been processed, a reasonable administrative fee may apply. Once goods have been dispatched, cancellations are no longer possible.
